SEPYTF 5th-6th Grade
Welcome to 5th& 6th Grade Southeast Polk Youth Tackle Football. This program is designed to prepare athletes for junior high & high school level competition and have a lot of fun along the way. Experienced and Beginner level players are all welcome to participate.
Ages / Grade Level
This program is intended for athletes entering into 5th & 6th grade levels during the fall semester. Additionally, this program is intended for athletes living in the Southeast Polk Community School District.
Registration & Cost
5th & 6th Grade Registration fee is $225 per athlete.
*Registration fees are nonrefundable
When
The 5th & 6th grade season begins in Mid -August and runs through Mid-October.
Important Dates:
- June 1st thru August 16th - Open Registration
- August 16th @ 11:00AM (Spring Creek Sports Complex) - Skills Assessment & Equipment Distribution
- August 19th - Coach & Player Team Assignment (Draft)
- Week of August 25th - First Practices
- September 13th - First Game
- October 18th - Last Game
Where
Practices are held on the NW side of the Sam Wise Sports Complex in Altoona.
Game location is at the Spring Creek Sports Complex in Altoona.
Practices
5th & 6th Grade practices at the NE corner of the Sam Wise Sports Complex in Altoona
Practices range from 2-4 times per week depending on the stage of the season. Practices schedules are determined by the Head Coach.
Practice start/finish times and specific days vary but typically range from 5:30 to 7:30, Monday thru Thursday.
Games
Game days are Tuesday (PM) and Saturday at Spring Creek. Teams will have a total of 7 games.
- September 13th - First Game
- October 18th - Last Game
Equipment & Jerseys
SEPYTF provides the following equipment:
- Reversible Game Jersey
- Shoulder Pads
- Helmet + Chin Strap
- Mouthguard
Athletes are responsible for the following equipment:
- Cleats
- Black Football Pants
- Specialized Mouth Guard
- Water Bottle
- Practice Jersey (optional)
